High school students are invited to explore Cedarville University’s Robert W. Plaster School of Business and Department of Communication at our Business and Communication Preview Day. This event is a great opportunity to learn about our programs, meet faculty and current students, and discover the wide range of career paths in business and communication.

Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, followed by the opening session at 8:30 a.m. Throughout the day, you’ll experience Cedarville’s commitment to academic excellence, a biblical worldview, and a Christ-centered community.

The day concludes with “The Pitch,” inspired by Shark Tank, where current students present their business ideas to a panel of investors. Many past participants have gone on to launch successful ventures.

Similar to Mark Burnett's Shark Tank, The Pitch is a live event hosted by Cedarville University Entrepreneurship Organization once a year where contestants will compete to convince mock investors to "invest" in their idea with real cash prizes. It's a night of fun, giveaways, and friendly competition. Many past winners have gone on to create sustainable dream businesses.

Please read through the information below carefully before proceeding with your selection:

Overnight Housing: The Admissions Office is happy to coordinate an overnight stay in a residence hall with a student host provided by our office. If you are arranging your own overnight housing with a current student that you know, you do not need to pay or request overnight housing through the Admissions office on this form.

There is a $40 overnight housing fee required per student, per night.
Prospective students may stay a maximum of 2 nights on campus.
Prospective students must be between 14 and 25 years of age to stay overnight in a residence hall.
Rooms often do not have extra beds. Please come prepared to sleep on the floor. We recommend bringing a sleeping bag for your stay.

On the day of your arrival to campus, what time would you like to meet your student host? Our student hosts will be prepared to meet you as early at 5 p.m. on the date of your arrival. However, you are welcome to arrive on campus earlier to explore on your own. We ask that you make an effort to arrive on campus prior to 10 p.m. to meet your student host. If you have a question about this, please email hosting@cedarville.edu.

On the day of your departure from campus please note that you must be out of the dorm by 8 a.m. due to our student host schedules and minor's policy.

Airport Transportation: The Admissions Office is happy to provide airport transportation to prospective students visiting Cedarville. If you are arranging your own airport transporation with a current student or area friend, you do not need to pay or request airport transportation through the Admissions office on this form.

We provide transportation for prospective students traveling without a parent or guardian.
Airport transportation is arranged per request and is available for flights arriving or departing between 9 AM and 9 PM to and from the Dayton or Columbus airports. If you find a flight outside of these times, please contact us at hosting@cedarville.edu before booking.
There is an airport transportation fee of $45 (roundtrip) to the Dayton airport and $80 (roundtrip) to the Columbus airport.
When arranging travel dates, please note that visiting students may spend a maximum of two nights on campus.
